A Case of Mistaken Identity
A Case of Mistaken Identity:
I was in the female toilet, in Takashimaiya, doing what girls do in front of the mirror when i noticed an aunty staring at me. She took another long look at me. I looked at her. And realised what she noticed.
So i grinned. Big time. And said to her, ' I am a girl ' . Hehehe :D. Well i can't blame her. After all, i was wearing a somewhat loose shirt and long jeans. No long earings or high heel shoes or even carrying a bag. Nope, it was all
that. And this was the second time i got mistaken as a guy when i entered the toilet.
I still remembered the first time. Ahh, the good old times. I wore
this, almost the same as the second time except i wore a different type of jeans. And it happened at Bras Basah Complex, the level 1 toilet. The one where you know, had to pay 10 cent to enter the toliet.
I was outside the toilet going inside it when i was called. 'Oi, oi, boy' . :D Naturally, since i am a bit nosy, i turned and saw an Indian uncle telling me that it was a female toliet. Of course i had to smile --big time-- again.
Ahh, the good old memories.
One reason why i still continue to wear this type of outfit ( long sleeves and jeans) is because it's fun watching the reaction of a person when he/she found out that i was a female after pointing out that i got into the wrong toliet. Hey, it's funny okay. Try it and you might like it too :DDD .

Trip to Goldkist Beach Resort
CLASS OUTING (BBQ) FOR THE YEAR, 2009, AT GOLDKIST BEACH RESORT!!!
Currently blogging at 1.50am. Yes, A.M. I was scared i would forget about the things (good things) that happened today. .. Or should i say, yesterday night. So, i am staying up late to finish writing this down.
First!
I arrived at the Beach Resort, with the help of my father :), at around 5.50pm. The car trip took about 40 minutes. Long~~. Saw that T. , CC. , S. , JB. and CY. were already in the chalet
Then played a game called Stress? . Had to smack the card if the number one said coincide with the number on the card. Played till my palm got red :D . Then played BlackJack for a while. Bets: Sweets on the counter.
Here's how our chalet room looked like.
Notice the refrigerator at the bottom right corner.
Now open it,
And you'll see . . .
Food and drinks for our barberque!
Second!
A few other people arrived and around 6.30pm, we got the fire for the BBQ going. The fire looked so pretty~, like the paper-rish flame (which was fake) like that. Had to keep on relighting the fire starters as it could not catch/retain the flames!
Finally!! It caught fire. Quickly covered them up with charcoal. Then started faning the flames like hell. Mr L. , our form teacher, came for the fear of something terrible happening to us and wanted to make sure that we remained as innocent as possible. Meaning no smoking, no gambling (dang) and definitely no you-know-what.
It was around 7pm that more people came. Then we started on barbeqeing the sausages. Some were *ahem* burnt or undone. Hopefully no one got stomachache. Then we, me and the other guys, barbequed. And barbequed. And barbequed. The first few sausages were snatched up by the hungry wolves . Hehehe.
At around 7.30pm, the people from NPCC arrived. The number of people had increased. Went inside the air-conditioner room while we slogged our guts out to barbeque food for them to eat. But hey, who's complaining? Not me for sure. I had lots! of fun barbequing the food and chatting with the guys i usually don't chat with in class. And that's the reason why we should go to class outings because it's only once a year and you might as well BARE IT ALL! Since that is the only time you can 'be' yourself. Plus it's at night
And so, we barbequed. And barbequed. And barbequed again. Then i hopped and crowded around in the air-conditioner room with my other classmated and played 'Taboo' . A game where one has to guess what the person holding the card is saying. Of course the difficulty is higher when there are words written that the person cannot say aloud. All i can say is that a lot of screaming is needed to shout--no, speak-- what you guess is the correct wording. As there are many high-pitched female people inside the circle, myself inclueded of course, you will certainly hear loud sounds coming from our chalet room. ;)
Then i went out to the barbeque pit which was just in front of our room and the guys and some other females started to BBQ the marinated chicken, satay and finally the otah.
Third!
The Guests of Honour were our teachers: Mr P. Tan (ex) , Mdm Lim and Miss Yue. Mdm Lim arrived the latest: at 10.15pm.
Around that time, we found out that we needed more charcoal. So we went to buy it at a shop near the chalet.
They look like 4 men on a mission. :DDD
We went back and got started on barbequing again. Hey, it's fun. That's why it's called BBQ. One must always barbeque with classmates to have fun :). We barbequed the satay, the otah and the chicken wings (The sausages were finished) Now S. has aquired a new skill: BBQ-ing the satay. *Licks lips* He can be a satay man.
Time passed by so quickly.
It was 11pm already and i had to go home. There were some people who stayed overnight at the chalet. Brought all their needy things it seems. Offered a ride to JB. and M. to send them to their homes (or near-by), courtesy of my father and his car. :D Ah, what a kind and generous my parents are.
Came back home at around 12am. Bathed and started writing this.
So now, i will stop writing. Another day, another story perharps.

Trip to NanYang Poly!
Took a bus at 2.15pm to Nan Yang with the Life Science Society members for soap making lessons.
Arrived at:
While i was riding the bus, i noticed . . .
... Hmm...
And,
And many identical cars driven by army men. Or so it looked like.
Anyway, we've reached! Got off the bus,
Walked down the hallway
And started making soaps!
Started stirring the main ingredient - melted butter - with the help of my two groupmates.
[Smells like puke :p ]
Added NaOH, and ethanol. But not without colouring and fragrance oil!
Finished!
Then went to other groups to look about. A bit nosy, i admit.
Then we waited for the 'thing' to cool solidify.
*Grumble* Oh, hehehe. Stomach's hungry ;p . Found out that there was refreshments just for us. :D So grateful~.
Curry puffs, sesame mochi? and spring rolls.
And when we went back to the lab/room,
the 'thing' became from
this
this
to this
[Mine's the furthest right-hand side]
...... Even after adding the strawberry fragrance oil, .... it still smelt like puke. Whatever. I didn't really wanted to use it as a soap. It may be poisonous, you know!
Oh, it's close to 5.15pm now. Got to go~. Said Thank you to our instructors. Then went off.
Out we go.
At: ~
And finally, the conclusion:
It was an enjoyable experience. The instructors were very helpful and funny, even gave prizes to those who answered his questions correctly. It was great, a reward for studying for our exams :).
And an extra,
A blue colouring. Pretty?

Time
Time passes so fast.
Here i am writing this post, sitting on a comfortable chair when yesterday i was sitting at the very same place, rushing for my Physics and A maths and wondering when i could use the com.
It passes too fast.
Even though i, more or less, knew what i would do today, at that time (yesterday), it just seemed too surreal. Maybe it is because we can't see or look into the future, that we feel that time passes too quickly for us to notice.
Maybe, instead of looking behind, we should look forward, for time cannot be turned back.

Chemistry and Geography is OVER! FYE
Chemistry... ><
A lot questions didn't know how to do. I don't even think my MCQ can pull my marks up. [even if they struggle] I used up my 'memory space' to memorise the preparation of salt [insoluble and soluble] and it comes out asking for, " why did they ... and for what reason." Damn! Used up my precious 'memory space' for nothing. Some more most of the questions in Secton B and C has never been taught before. They're thinking questions!
Then had to wait for 3 Hours for my Core Geography Paper. Unacceptable. The elective geography students only had to wait for 1/2 to start their paper. Lost 3 hours thanks to _____ to study for my other exam subjects.
1 pm. Went to hall to do the paper. Most was on earthquake. Again, Used up my precious 'memory space' for nothing... At least i had time to 'touch up' on my answer paper. Hopefully will get around B3 for this.
*Flick* Over. *Flick* Over. *Dump them on my shelf and covered them with a plastic* Don't wanna see them again.

Privileged
Just finished watching 'Privileged'. Wow. Really Wow. It's very interesting and intense. The plot goes like this :
Twenty-three-year-old Megan Smith has a Yale education, a relentlessly positive attitude, and a plan to conquer the world of journalism, despite the fact that she is slaving away at a tabloid rag. Megan's plan is thrown off course when, in one whirlwind day, she gets fired, meets cosmetics mogul Laurel Limoges, and becomes the live-in tutor for Laurel’s twin teen granddaughters in the heady Palm Beach, Florida, a world of wealth and power. The girls, Rose and Sage, are beautiful, rebellious, and less-than-thrilled with their new tutor, but Megan is determined to win them over as she enjoys the perks of her new job: breathtaking private suite, gorgeous convertible, and live-in chef Marco. Even the neighbors are fabulous in Palm Beach and Megan quickly catches the eye of Will (*ahem*), the wealthy and attractive dilettante who lives on the estate next door and just happens to be dating Megan’s estranged sister, Lily. Completing this romantic quadrangle is Megan's best friend, Charlie (again *ahem* :) ), who is secretly in love with her (I knew it!). Despite her own complicated romantic and family relationships, Megan is committed to making a difference in the lives of her two headstrong charges as she navigates the treacherous waters of high society in Palm Beach.
Watched the episode. I really liked it. If this series continues like what i've seen just now, then consider me a fan of 'Privileged'. ;] .
BTW, the actors are Hot! and so are the lady characters ;D

Social Studies
Common living space provided by the public housing, provides opportunities for people of different ethnic and religious groups to interact with one another. The ethnic intergration policy was introduced as it was observed that there were many people from the same ethnic race living together in the same block. The policy puts a limit on the proportion of races living together in the same block. This promotes racial intergration and harmony. By living together in the same neighbourhood, it will provide opportunities for people to interact. With greater interaction, understanding of racial and religious beliefs, friendships can be forged and this will help to bond Singaporeans together.

Educational institutions which are open to every Singaporean allows students the opportunities for them to study and play with other students coming from different ethnic and religious background. It provides opportunities for friendships to be cultivated. The implement of CCA in schools help to promote closer bonds between students when they are working together. It also allow them to build up teamwork among them. By appreciating and respecting one another, the social bonds among students will be strengthened, thereby reducing the possibility of conflict.

The Inter-Racial Confidence Circle was introduced to foster greater inter-racial understanding. The activities carried out create chances for Singaporeans to develop strong bonds among different ethnic and religious communities. It also build confidence and friendship among people. Such bonds will help people to remain calm in times of crisis, ensuring that social cohension is maintained.
